A special day

In the morning with daddy

Today we went to SI office to meet our dear doctors, team SI and our surrogate mother, N. It was a big day and afterwards I was really exhausted from all the experiences. One of our favourite drivers, Vikas, came with a big car. You know, when you are the kind of customer, who comes with two kids and just as many car seats, plus some bags and a roasting pan with apple cake, you really need the space. But Vikas knows us well and drives us carefully whereever we need to go.

At SI, N instantly found us and couldn't wait until I released Erik from his car seat. She was so happy to hold him again and he slept peacefully in her arms. N's mother, younger sister and daughter also came to meet us again. It was a wonderful get-together and I'm very thankful for their time - and to all of those at SI who translated our conversation . I finally got to hand over all the gifts we had. I still don't know whether N liked the lace shawl I had knitted for her or not. She didn't say much about it... It had taken me 4 months to finish it but in a country where handicraft has a low price maybe this was peanuts for her? For me this truly was a gift from my heart. My mother had knitted a lace tablecloth for N's mother who so kindly had taken care of N's children during the time she was admitted to the hospital etc.

Our final settlement is paid, thanks to Shaahid. It feels great, I must say! Thank you for your time and energy! Jaya helped us with all the paperwork today aswell - thank you! We now should have all papers needed to be able to apply for Swedish Citizenship and I have sent the consulate an email asking for a meeting with them. I must say that SI (especially Jaya in this matter) has done an exellent job with all the documents. She has done every piece of paper correctly without us even reminding her nor asking for anything. That's true service!! I totally understand why dr. Yash and dr. Sudhir say each and everyone of the team members is hand picked. They really are fantastic! I also want to thank our doctors for sharing a wonderful and delicios lunch with us and for being so generous with their time. We treasure every moment of it very much!
Wonderful dr. Yash with her baby nr. 149

Jennifer loves dr. Sudhir, or "doctor Sudde" as she says :)

On our way home we also stopped by dr. L.H. Hirananadani hospital and picked up the DNA test result (99,9998%) and a "No Due letter" from them aswell. Phuuh,  now we just wait for a reply from the consulate. :)

On the leisure side of our trip, I took an exhausting tour to Oberoi mall yesterday and did some serious baby/kids clothes shopping. They have 50% sale at the moment so these already quite cheap clothes were suddenly so cheap that Swedish prices would be at least 5 times higher. I'm very far from a shopaholic but as this saves us a whole lot of money, I kind of felt I had to do this. While in the store, I was thinking that somebody else in my shoes would really enjoyed it. I was happy when I got out of the store with the bags.
Time for some sleep before it's time for breastfeeding and cuddling :) Thank you all for following my blog!

    Kram M

  5. I am so happy to hear everything is going so well for you in Mumbai! Doesn't it feel great to gather each piece of paper and know that you are that much closer to sleeping in your own bed? Erik is beautiful and has the most amazing little smily face:).
