We had an ultrasound yesterday at Hiranandani hospital and I was a bit nervous for the result. As you may have read before, our sweet N has pregnancy induced high blood pressure which in turn has caused a reduction of amniotic fluids. If not successfully treated, high BP affects placenta negatively and can reduce fetal growth since the baby won't get enough energy from placenta for growing normally.
N has been out of hospital in 2 weeks on monday and I was afraid that the scan result would put her back into the hospital again. Luckily, everything was reported normal - liquor (amniotic fluids), fetal heart rate and movement aswell as structures. Weight is approximately 907g and gestational age 25w2d which is exactly correct. As fetal growth is the key measurement, it was a great relieve to see that our baby's weight and development has been good. Please, say a prayer that it continues this way. I so want our baby to be able to stay in in at least 10 more weeks.
If you check out my weather gadget, you'll see that the Swedish summer 2011 is definitely very much history now. Although the days have been sunny and clear these past days, the temperature doesn't reach more than 10 degrees Celcius (50 degrees of Fahrenheit). And nights, well... We had the first frost the other night. In the morning the grass was covered with white frost.

And this morning when I was about to drive home from the hospital, I had to scrape the car window. Do I have to say, it was freezing?
The front window half done |
I have to say my mantra before I can finish this... Grow, baby, GROW - you are our miracle!
Sending positive thoughts for your growing miracle! So glad for the good news!
