According to our mid pregnancy ultrasound, we were 23 weeks on monday. Per embryo transfer date we reached 23 weeks today. Our little Viking should be about 500g and 30cm now. That's indeed a very tiny Viking! But probably the toughest of them all! :)
While our little one is busy growing in N's beautiful belly, I'm busy with preparations and thoughts about how and when to arrange things in the most effective way. Agne is my best advisor and support in making plans. He has so many good ideas.
The biggest issue past days has been how to solve our car seat issue, which is kind of double since we are going to need one for our new baby aswell as one for Jennifer. Thank you, dr. Sudhir, for your help with this! In Sweden (home of security) kids below 4 years travel in rear-facing car seats. Those are very large and heavy. No way, we could bring a toddler car seat along with us. And it would be very expensive to send one to India in advance. What to do? We absolutely want our children to be as safe as possible in crazy Mumbai traffic, just as everywhere else! Well, this question now has both a plan and a solution. Today I bought an used good infant car seat for our Newbie. It's an Acta Graco Logico S (0-12 months/13 kg) in good shape and now also extremely clean. :) After we leave Mumbai, we are going to donate it to SI so other IP's can have use of it.
By the way, one funny thing I noticed is that despite colors, which are offwhite, beige and brown, the flowers on the car seat are very similar to SI's "background flowers". Those of you who are with SI know what I mean. Hence I believe it will fit in well :)
For Jennifer, we'll buy a car seat in Mumbai. This way we can be sure it will fit into Ajit and Vikas' cars aswell since I'll ask one of them to take me to the store. I think it is going to be this one.
Today, Jennifer and I were to our swimming hall along with my best local friend and her son. It was this seasons grand premiére as they have recently opened after the summers big renovations. Oh, it was so much fun! My little girl is almost as much of a seal in the water as I am. I'm so glad I have been able to "infect" her with my water loving bug. She swims, dives, jumps and runs to the water slide over and over again. She laughs constantly and is so active in water. Me love! The fact that we were in the best company of Sofia and Alexander, made the evening absolutely incredible.
Talking about good friends, I have been so happy all day. My dearest friend in Estonia - my home country - told me this morning that she had packed a bunch of very tiny baby clothes to be sent to me. I have been thinking whether we will need to buy premature baby clothes or not. Now I know that if our Viking comes around 35 weeks or later, we won't need to buy much more. I'm so grateful for her commitment and goodwill. She really is on the Top 3 of my Favourite Persons List. Thank you, Kristi!!!
It is time to say GROW, BABY, GROW!
... and go to bed. It's a new day tomorrow.
