Saturday night and I'm on a night shift again - due to a sick colleague. It is rather silent at the ward and I feel like writing so I will keep myself alert.
We are 28 weeks and 4 days today. I can't wait until we are beyond the 30 weeks milestone. I can't wait November to be over, too, since it is a Bad-Weather-Month in Sweden. We have turned into winter time period (clocks are moved one hour back in order to save daylight) but still it is so DARK. Especially in the afternoons as it starts getting dark already at 4 PM. We have no snow yet and it's foggy, rainy or/and windy most of the days. Oh, I wish we could take off from work already and board the next flight to Mumbai! It would be a lot more pleasant to spend time with our fantastic N in a well tempered climate :). But really, I'm not whining. And I like my job. In 6 weeks I will leave our cold winter and piles of snow for the heat of Mumbai along with my beloved fiance and daughter - in order to become second time parents.
As I have written before, we are going to have a new ultrasound next Thursday, the 10th of November, and I'm a bit afraid. Mostly since it has been nice and quiet on the complications side for a while now and we have not been spoiled with to many such weeks earlier in our pregnancy. Every time I started to feel that things were progressing smoothly, something new came up. But I hope I'm wrong this time. Amniotic fluids should peak somewhere now and our baby has had good heart rates. We had a Skype session with N last friday and she said that the baby is active, especially when she is trying to rest or sleep. An active baby should be equal to a prosperous baby. I know that N is doing a top notch job in order to keep heathy. Our wonderful doctors and the whole SI team is working hard for us aswell. For example, I know that they are checking N's blood pressure 6 times per day! At the latest antenatal checkup, dr. Soni at Hiranandani was pleased with everything and recommended our N to continue on her regimen. Our docs rule!!!
I received another surprise DVD from 14th of October = 25 weeks. It is lovely. Once again, I tried to get a good peak at the little face or maybe just happen to find out our little Vikings gender but I got nada :) I wish I could say it was the baby who was wiggly but it was just the sonographist being extra frolic with the probe. I think they are trying to hide what I was looking for, haha. But heey, you don't have to hide the face aswell! :D
Well, it's time to put the final dot here and say Grow Baby, GROW! I hope that I will have some fantastic baby bump pictures to show off next time.
Sounds like your little guy/gal is in the best of hands! Love that you got an extra special video. Hoping for a speedy home stretch!
